Check the security code

Most brands print a scratch-off code or QR on the box. Scratch it and check it on the brand’s own website – our Verify page links to each one.

Red flags

  • The code was already scratched, or the brand site says it’s been checked before.
  • Blurry printing, spelling mistakes or missing warnings and batch numbers.
  • A price far below other sellers.
  • Leaks or a burnt taste from a brand-new pod.

Why it matters

Fake devices may use poor batteries and unregulated circuits; fake liquids can contain anything. Buy from sellers who verify stock and stand behind it.
